Paul Peters

Paul earned his BS in Psychology from the University of Illinois. He served in the military for eight years, achieving the rank of first lieutenant.  His work experience includes: serving as a chaplain at a county jail; working at a residential group home for individuals with severe MR/DD; working as a behavioral specialist; directing sheltered workshops serving those with disabilities; assisting individuals with disabilities start their own businesses;  starting two successful business within the community, and working as a case manager for over eight years. His passions are his three children, his relationship with God, advocating for others, reading, and his company.

Jeff Phillips

Jeff graduated from Appalachian State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  In 2003, Jeff earned his MBA in Healthcare Administration and Human Resources.  Jeff has over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with severe/persistent mental health, chronic substance abuse, and intellectual/developmental disabilities.  Jeff was recognized in 2005 as “Case Manager of the Year” in Mecklenburg County.  While his drive and passion is advocating for the members and families he serves, Jeff’s greatest source of joy is his three children – Riley, Ashlynn, and Jeffery.

Brandi Jordan

Brandi has owned and operated a successful award winning business for twenty years and has been employed as an office manager for a fast growing company since 2014.  She resides in Stanly County where she enjoys spending time with her three children. She truly believes in God’s vision for her life and allows him to place her where her light shines the brightest.

Jamie Thomasson

After spending 18 years in a variety of positions in the human services field my life took a significant detour when I opened a café in Wilmington NC.  While spending the next 15 years in the restaurant business, I served on the board of the Cape Fear Museum Associates, organized a number of fundraising events for local charities, and helped organize and develop the Castle Street Business Alliance; transforming a troubled, decaying business district into a vibrant, up and coming shopping district.  I am passionate about community development and feel we often overlook the gifts and talents that many in our community have to offer. I have an undergraduate degree in Communications/Marketing from Appalachian State University and a law degree from the University of NC at Chapel Hill.
